The leading manufacturer of plastic packaging solutions rose plastic has completely relaunched its international website. Over the past few months, the website has not only been graphically redesigned, but also completely revised in terms of content and technology. Now all locations of the globally operating company will receive a new website.

Even at first glance, the new website appears fresher and more appealing: large-scale photos, high-quality videos, clearly structured text units and an intuitive navigation concept invite the user to surf and stay on the website. With the new website rose plastic not only wanted to create an appealing internet presence, but also to significantly expand the range of information on offer. Thus, a completely new area "Applications" has been added, which offers users from the four industry segments machining tools, industrial components, tool retailers and hardware stores as well as promotional and sales packaging extensive information and tips for the use of rose plastic’s plastic packaging solutions.

The "Products" section has also been completely revised. There the user can inform himself in detail about the approximately 4,000 plastic packaging solutions offered by rose plastic and will also find exact information about the available designs, sizes, materials and colors.

User friendliness is the trump card

rose plastic’s marketing team attached great importance to the usability of the new website. Large menus and logical menu navigation allow access to the contents with a few mouse clicks. The newly developed “Product Finder” with various filter options guides the user to the right packaging solution for his products with just a few clicks.

TYPO3-based website

Technically, the website is based on the latest version of the content management system TYPO3, the world's leading open source application in this field. The interface to rose plastic's ERP system also allows the daily provision of up-to-date information on the individual packaging solutions.

During the development of the website, rose plastic adapted to the trend towards mobile use of end devices and attached great importance to the implementation in the so-called “responsive design”. In this way rose plastic ensured that the presentation of the website adapts flexibly to the end device used, whether desktop PCs, laptops, smartphones, or tablets. In addition, importance was attached to shortening the loading times of individual pages and page elements.

Eight languages available

At the end of the current rollout, the website will be available in eight different languages: German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese and Korean. Each non-English-speaking site will also receive an English language version of the website as well as a version in the local language.

The investment and the months of work on the website has been worthwhile, those responsible at rose plastic believe. The new website has been very well received by customers and interested parties, as first analyses of visitor numbers show.
